United for Prevention collaborated with the Passaic County Municipal Alliances and the Office of Superintendent of Schools to create the Passaic County Teen Summit: "Leading the Way: Teens Take Action".

Coalition members were treated to a double session. In the morning, Jeremy Russ from the NJ Regional Operations Intelligence Center (ROIC) presented on their Drug Monitoring Initiative (DMI) which combines crime and health data collection to better assist in drug enforcement. In the afternoon, members were welcome to sit in on "The Great Grass Debate" which discussed the possible ramifications and benefits of legalization of marijuana in NJ.
William Paterson University students were trained to be TIPS trainers
Coalition members were involved in a panel discussion where each panelist discussed the social and economic impact of underage drinking in their community and identified strategies to reduce underage drinking for parents, schools and the community.
