Naloxone Training and Map
Naloxone functions as an opioid antagonist medication that can swiftly counteract an opioid overdose by attaching to the opioid receptors and reversing and preventing the impact of other opioids. In addition, it can promptly restore regular breathing in individuals whose breathing has slowed or ceased due to opioid overdose. However, it is essential to note that naloxone does not affect people who do not have opioids in their system, and it is not a remedy for opioid use disorder.
